You may need additional funding for school and opt to apply for funding through a private lending agency. Private/Alternative loans can have a higher interest rate and a credit check must be done on all applicants. Fresno Pacific University cannot recommend private lenders, but we have provided an online comparison tool l designed to help you select the lender best suited to your needs. Our best advice is for you to explore options with a lender you may already do business with and feel comfortable using.
We also recommend doing your research before signing on the dotted line to be sure that you will not be in for any surprises later. The Federal Student Aid website provides some additional information on how to avoid deceptive offers.
Code of Conduct
FPU has adopted a Code of Conduct with respect to student loans which applies to all employees in the financial aid office and other personnel at FPU. Fresno Pacific University and its employees do not benefit in any way from the borrower's choice of lenders. We seek only to provide borrowers with a list of lenders who have provided excellent service to the borrower and to the university.

The student services team was phenomenal. I applied for and was rewarded a scholarship which truly helped me financially. Without the assistance, I do not think I would have been able to complete my grad school requirements.
