Council of Senior Professionals

The Council of Senior Professionals is a membership organization of Fresno Pacific University and Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary established in 2002 for the mutual benefit of participating senior professionals, the university and seminary, and the constituencies that they serve.

Recognizing that seniors often have much yet to contribute, the council is designed to bring together senior scholars, artists, educators, church leaders and other professionals, from near and far, who wish to actively pursue particular interests in the context of an academic community and continue to contribute to the common good of the academy, church and community.

Mission and purposes

The mission of the CSP is to serve as a senior resource group to the sponsoring institutions and the larger church and community.

Purposes include

  • Intergenerational learning
  • Interdisciplinary inquiry and discourse
  • Interpersonal dialogue

Activities and events

A weekly seminar runs each year from September to May and serves as a core council activity.
