Our Mission
Fresno Pacific University develops students for leadership and service through excellence in Christian higher education. Come ready to learn. Leave equipped to have a transformative impact throughout the Central Valley and in global communities.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Our commitment to welcoming diversity among our student body, faculty, and staff comes out of our Christian values, rooted in Anabaptist, evangelical, and ecumenical tradition. No matter who you are, we’re dedicated to making sure you’ll have a seat at our table when you come here—and that your voice will be heard.
Our President
Dr. André Stephens has 30 years of experience in Christian higher education in California, most recently as vice president for student development at Biola University. As president of FPU, he works tirelessly to provide students with meaningful learning experiences that foster Christian character and make inspirational futures possible.
FPU History
Since class opened in 1944, FPU has encouraged first-generation students to achieve more, while building the region’s highest four-year graduation rate. We make education accessible by providing financial aid to 98 percent of traditional undergraduates—and a four-year graduation guarantee to those who qualify.
Our Faculty
Preparing students to achieve more than they thought possible starts with faculty. More than 80 percent hold doctorates and all combine challenging scholarship with real-world application. Individual attention and contact beyond the classroom support lifelong learning through faculty-student relationships.
Accreditation Information
Fresno Pacific University has a general accreditation and program-specific accreditations approved by the WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) Senior College and University Commission.
