Tutoring
Writing Tutoring
- We offer comprehensive support for all stages of the writing process, including brainstorming, organization, thesis development, and grammar for ESL and ELL students.
- In-Person Tutoring: Available at Main Campus, North Fresno, and Visalia Regional Campuses on weekdays.
- Online Tutoring: Conducted via Zoom, available 7 days a week.
- Drop-Off Paper: Upload your paper when booking. Feedback will be sent to your student email at the end of your session, available 7 days a week.

- Graduate Writing: Professional tutors specialize in supporting graduate-level coursework.

Subject Tutoring
- Subject tutoring is available for all student populations in 30–45-minute sessions for general education classes. The tutoring covers a variety of subjects, including:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Math
- JCC (BIB Classes)
- And more
- Each session is designed to provide targeted support, helping students improve their understanding and confidence in these subjects.

Academic Coaching
- Coaches offer encouragement and effective strategies to help you overcome obstacles while navigating university culture. Academic coaching can assist you with:
- Goal Setting: Defining clear and achievable academic objectives.
- Time Management Strategies: Developing effective techniques to make the most of your study time.
- Organization and Motivation: Enhancing your organizational skills and keeping you motivated throughout your studies.
- Academic Resources: Identifying and utilizing resources available at the university.
- Scheduling: Creating a personalized schedule to balance your coursework, extracurricular activities, and personal commitments.
- Appointments are available in-person on weekdays and online seven days a week, making it convenient to fit coaching into your schedule.

Need to Book an Appointment (tutoring, academic coaching, and/or exam proctoring)? Scheduling is now through Penji.
Steps
- 1. Access Penji via mobile app, webapp, and/or click on “Schedule an Appointment” in Canvas. Log in using your student email or SSO.
- 2. Click “Get Started” and then select “I am a student”
- 3. Select the desired service (Subject Tutoring & Academic Coaching, Writing Support, or Exam Proctoring)
- Tip: For easy access to your appointments, we recommend downloading the Penji App to your device using any of the following links: IOS and Android.

How to access through the Academic Success Center Moodle shell
- Once logged into Moodle, scroll down and choose Academic Support Center (with the light bulb icon).
- Choose Net Tutor topic tab
- Information, FAQs are available
- Click on the puzzle piece next to Net Tutor to open Net Tutor
There are 30 subjects on NetTutor
- Choose the subject you are interested in
- Math and Writing are offered 24/7; to check times for other subjects, click on the desired subject, then on the "Drop-In Tutoring Hours" link on the upper right corner.

Exam Proctoring
Exam Proctoring at the Academic Success Center
- Exam Proctoring is a resource available at the Academic Success Center, located on the main campus in Marpeck Hall (MAR105). This service is offered only to students with testing accommodations and excused absences. Appointments are required.
- Proctoring Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (No exams finished after 4:00 pm)

Exam Proctoring for Non-FPU Students
- The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides a space and supervision for individual students who are not enrolled at Fresno Pacific University. There is a $50 fee per exam.
