We offer walk-ins and appointments, and you can meet with tutors and coaches online or in person.
Note: Exam proctoring requires a scheduled appointment.

Tutoring
Writing Tutoring
- We are here to support you at every stage of the writing process, whether you are brainstorming ideas, organizing your paper, developing a thesis or working on grammar (for ESL and ELL students).
- You can stop by as a walk-in or book an appointment, whatever works best for you.
- In-Person Tutoring: Available on weekdays at the Main Campus.
- Online Tutoring: Offered via Zoom throughout the week, including evenings and weekends.
- Drop-Off Paper: Upload your paper when booking. Feedback will be emailed to you by the end of the session.

- Graduate Writing: Professional tutors specialize in supporting graduate-level coursework.

Subject Tutoring
- Subject tutoring is available for all student populations in 30–45-minute sessions for general education classes. The tutoring covers a variety of subjects, including:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Math
- JCC (BIB Classes)
- And more
- Each session is designed to provide targeted support, helping students improve their understanding and confidence in these subjects.

- Time Management Strategies: Developing effective techniques to make the most of your study time.
- Organization and Motivation: Enhancing your organizational skills and keeping you motivated throughout the semester.
- Academic Resources: Identifying and utilizing resources available at the university.
- Scheduling: Creating a personalized schedule to balance your coursework, extracurricular activities and personal commitments.

NetTutor
How to Access Through Canvas
- Log in to Canvas and select any of your courses.
- On the left-hand side bar (where Home and Modules are listed), scroll down until you see NetTutor.
- Click NetTutor to open a new window.
- From there, choose NetTutor Tutoring Center (for subject-specific online tutoring) or NetTutor Writing Center (for writing help or paper drop off).
- Log in to Canvas and select any of your courses.
What Is NetTutor and How Does It Help Students?
- NetTutor is a third‑party online tutoring service that provides academic support in multiple subjects. Students can receive live one‑on‑one tutoring, submit questions for feedback, or upload papers for review.
- Tutoring is available in approximately 30 subjects. Math and Writing are available 24/7, while other subjects have scheduled hours. To view availability, select a subject and click “Drop‑In Tutoring Hours.”

Exam Proctoring
Exam Proctoring at the Academic Success Center
- Exam Proctoring is a resource available at the Academic Success Center, located on the main campus in Marpeck Hall (MAR105). This service is offered only to students with testing accommodations and excused absences. Appointments are required.
- Proctoring Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (No exams finished after 4:00 pm)

Exam Proctoring for Non-FPU Students
- The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides a space and supervision for individual students who are not enrolled at Fresno Pacific University. There is a $50 fee per exam.
