Saturday, March 17, 2007 - Fresno, Calif. Fresno - The Sunbirds extended their season-long win streak to 14 with a 9-0 sweep of Concordia this afternoon at the Haak Tennis Complex. The also pushed FPU's Golden State Athletic Conference record to 6-0. The closest the Eagles came to a win was a No. 3 doubles where Emily Paulson and Julie Haley extended Megan Hanner and Brittany Salley 10 16 games, but fell 9-7. "It was a good way to finish off a very busy week," said FPU head coach Neil Castro. "We were a bit flat in a couple of matches, but we got it done." The Sunbirds will have six days off before traveling to Riverside next Friday to face California Baptist in GSAC action. They then have eight days off before hosting Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday, March 31. Updated Records |
