Saturday, February 16, 2008 - Ramirez Field Fresno- The Sunbirds had a great showing today as they hosted Point Loma Nazarene for an indoor dual meet. The men beat the Sea Lions 91-81 and the women were edged out 86-80. A few of the women took home multiple victories at today's meet to lead the Sunbirds. Misty Ramsey won both the 60 meter dash and the 200 meter dash, Melissa Perez nabbed two first place finishes in the 1500 and the 3000 meter run, and Natalie Friesen stepped up with victories in the long and triple jump. On the men's side, Robert Skipper took the crown in the 60 and 200 meter dash along with the 60 meter hurdles and Benny Madrigal won both 1500 and 3000 meter dash to lead the way. Both the men and women will be back in action next Saturday, February 23, in the Rossi Relays. The meet will take place in Claremont, CA.
